Disney Princess

A POST OF PICTURES PAST
So there are some who believe that we don't take pictures of Charlie. I must say that is absolutely not true. In the last week I have taken four videos and over 350 pictures since my in-laws have arrived. You will not be seeing any of those today, hence the title. Over the next few weeks posts will be alternated from past to present so that I can post the pictures taken months ago but have never made it to the blog. So here are some pictures taken in March of Charlie's first trip to Disneyland. She was approximately four months old. She was a champ. There was only one ride she didn't like because it was loud intermittent sounds and it scared her. It was a Pinocchio ride and to be honest it was a little creepy for me too. She slept through the Pirates of the Caribbean with its cannon sounds and water. We sat in the front row and got very wet. PS what ride attendant sees a sleeping baby in a carrier and thinks the front row is a good idea, I digress. She also enjoyed about 2 minutes of very loud fireworks/pyrotechnics and then was down for the count and slept through the rest of the show. My thoughts on Disneyland. Not near as fun as Disneyworld. Much less to see and after two trips realized the characters don't walk around, you have to go to them. LAME. So we have yet to get a picture with Mickey and with the passing in policy it will likely be a while before we do. BUMMER :(

First monorail ride. It actually stalled for 20 minutes but she didn't mind

Sleeping Beauty's Castle. No wonder I couldn't see it from the highway.

And the cutest picture of all!!!! Thanks Grandma Barb for our special Disney outfit.

I have a couple pictures of her smiling from Aunt Ashley but have lost them. We are going to play more with Nana and Papa. All for now

Our Dinner Entertainment

Charlie has a new toy that she really loves. It is a vintage ring stacker that is very similar to the toy I used as a baby. We were at a friend's house for the Fourth and she saw it and was mesmerized. So I splurged the nine bucks for it and it has provided hours of entertainment. I must say she doesn't quite get the concept but plays with it in her own unique way. I will let you see for yourself.

As you can see everything goes in her mouth. Her tongue plays with it more than anything.

She balances things quite well

I hope this is not a glimpse into her future as a circus performer.
Which leaves us with one question, "What do you do at your dinner table?"

The Time Has Come...

The time has come that I update my blog. I have neglected my blog and my apologies. We have been busy but now we shall update regularly. My sister threatened to shun my blog (delete from her blog) if I didn't get with it. I promised her that I would post today, and have made empty promises in the past but today a promise is a promise. So this is specifically for Aunt Cari who doubted at times whether she had a niece for lack of documentation. While uploading pictures I realized how many pictures I have that have yet to be posted so we will be having time warp moments on this blog till we get caught up. Charlie is sitting up like a champ now and beginning our early stages of crawling. She will get up on all fours willingly from a lying on her back position. This is huge considering she refused to roll over more than a few times to prove that she could. She usually rotates in a clockwise position throughout her naps and ends up all over the place in her crib. She bobs in the crawl position and I believe will be soon joining her friend Macy into the slithering stage. She talks, squeals and giggles all the time. She is still working on teeth but I think we are getting a bit closer because of the swollen gums and major MAJOR increase in drool. She loves to explore and touch and taste everything. So for now I leave you with, "What do you do with your Sunday ads?"

more fiber?

We will see you Friday for a double post. Ode to Uncle Richard and my Disney Princess. Stay tuned. "Love ooh" in the sing-song way Rigg says it. :)

Beach Baby

I am a fan of oldies and there is a 70's song called Beach Baby. It is such a catchy song that I have decided all should here it. So for listening pleasure as you view our beach baby, here it is. Enjoy!!!

Thanks Mimi for my first swimsuit

didn't have a swimsuit and was on baby duty but the water was so cold I didn't mind
Everyone likes to take a nap at the beach. This is what we used until we get an umbrella.

Wishing everyone a weekend full of sunshine!!!!

5 months and firsts

Charlie turned 5 months old on Saturday and we celebrated by getting sick for the first time. We went to the Dr. on Friday because she was coughing so much that she couldn't catch her breath. She is coughing less but is now wheezing when she breathes. We will monitor it and pray she doesn't have whooping cough because she isn't fully vaccinated yet. She is doing so many new things. She can roll over from both sides, when she wants to of course (it's always on her timing). She talks, blows raspberries, sings and screams incessantly. She loves the sound of her own voice. As I type this she is sitting in her bumbo watching her first baby einstein video and is mesmerized. She loves to grab anything that is in her reach. At the Dr she grabbed her stethoscope and almost through it on the ground. She loves being around other babies and is alert ALL the time. She loves to watch anything and everything. She is such a joy and is always smiling and laughing, even when she is sick. We are so blessed to have her. For Easter she is wearing one of my old dresses as a baby. We will post picks of her and her basket. But here are some older photos that never got posted. They are dated through the end of Feb trough the first week of March. Even now she has grown so much since then.

not always smiles
not every picture is picture perfect, but still pretty darn cute if I may say so

Her balding spot along with her greatest concentration of hair. It is going away now.

She shares her toys well. Their parents are good friends so they do a lot together. Maybe a match in the making.

It's a Sunshine Day

I know I didn't deliver on the beach photos but now I am. These were taken on Feb 21st at Dana Point. You will get an eye full of us. It is so hard to pick which ones to put up. But the bad ones of muwah were quite easy to delete. Please choose your favorite and let me know. Hope you enjoy the photos as much as we enjoy the weather here.
